Generation Jones

She grew up between two generations. Thus, she was too young to participate in the social upheavals of the 1960s, but too old to share the cynicism of her juniors.

Because other generations captured more limelight, Marla often felt left out. This did not stop her from having high expectations, which sometimes went unfulfilled. Still, over the years, Marla has achieved the trappings of success: kids, cars, homes, stocks—and debt.

Today, Marla and her husband, Josh, are busy raising school-age children and working full-time. Despite her success, she sometimes worries about reducing her credit card balances (which are huge), collecting Social Security (which seems unlikely), and keeping her job and health insurance (which are at risk).

Do you see yourself in Marla? Then click the tab(s) above to get more information.
