The Gateway Plans offer solutions for special insurance needs when traveling abroad. They are available to members, their families, and associates.

Gateway Plans are useful in many situations, and particularly when existing coverage is limited, during international business or leisure travel; when participating in academic, business or cultural exchange activities; or for employees, contract workers or consultants on international assignments.

All plans offer combined insurance and services, such as coverage for accident and illness medical expenses, transportation expenses associated with medical evacuation and repatriation, indemnity in event of accidental death or dismemberment, and worldwide travel and medical assistance services. Depending on the plan selected, other features and options are available.

There are six distinct plans in the Gateway portfolio:

• Gateway INTERNATIONAL - short-term coverage for up to 180 days during travel anywhere except to the United States;
• Gateway PREMIER - longer term coverage for travel or work assignments abroad for 6 or more consecutive months for up to 5 years;
• Gateway GLOBAL - can cover multiple short-term or extended trips abroad offering primary coverage for medical evacuation and repatriation and a variety of other options;
• Gateway USA - short-term coverage for up to 18 months for non-U.S. citizens participating in exchange activities such as business, academic, cultural, research, training, seminars;
• Gateway VISIT AMERICA - short-term coverage for up to 6 months for foreign nationals visiting the U.S. for leisure or personal travel.
• Gateway Plus - Longer term comprehensive personal insurance package for employees working and living abroad while on an expatriate assignment.

Business or Sponsored Travel Insurance Plans

International travel may involve leaving the home country for a short time or an extended period, and travel to one location or to many. But no matter what the itinerary entails, GatewayConnexions offers accident and sickness, and property and liability plans directed to meet the most common needs for insurance and services. Coverage can be placed directly by an individual or by an organization.

Several plan options are available for people traveling or working outside their Home Country (passport country) and Country of Residence. Leisure Travel Insurance Plans

GatewayConnexions has a variety of travel insurance for leisure travelers. Our plans provide trip cancellation and baggage protection for domestic or international travel as well as medical coverage while traveling overseas. GatewayConnexions Student Travel Insurance Plans   Gateway USA

International accident and sickness coverage for individuals traveling inbound to the United States for a sponsoring organization from 15 days to 36 months.

Gateway Premier

International accident and sickness coverage for individuals who are traveling for a sponsoring organization outside their home country/country of residence, for a minimum of 6 months to a maximum of 5 years.

Gateway International

International accident and sickness coverage for individuals traveling outbound from the United States for 15 days to 180 days.

Gateway Global

International accident and sickness coverage for those who make multiple short-term trips (Global 1) or have extended stays abroad (Global 2).

Gateway Plus (Students & Scholars)

Property and liability coverage while traveling overseas.

Student Travel

Trip Cancellation, Trip Interruption, Baggage protection on both domestic and interanional leisure trips.
